La Fe Restaurant And Pupuseria: Authentic Salvadoran Cuisine in Chantilly

Delicious pupusas! The only major negative in our experience was that the menus are in only Spanish. I know a little Spanish, but Granny was totally lost and frustrated that she couldn't read the menu.

Came for a pick up order, it was pretty big so it wasn’t ready. The restaurant was pretty empty but at the same time it was very spacious. It seems like it has 2 sides to it. Ordered pupusas and they were pretty good. The repollo (cabbage mix) had a bit of a kick so I passed on it but it seemed good. The tomatoe salsa didn’t taste like the one I’m use to but it was still very good.

This is a great El Salvadoran restaurant. Everything is authentic & delicious! Try it! It is not Mexican. So don’t come here looking for an ACP. Come ready to awaken your palate & walk out feeling very satisfied.

The pupusas here are the best in the dmv in my opinion. The burrito was good too. And I’ve never seen a better map of el salvador.

AMAZING Salvadoran restaurant that cooks up the best pupusas i've ever had and is an incredible way to start (or end!!) your day. Really hoping to bring more visibility/awareness to this incredible restaurant because their food is very authentic, unique, and delicious! Pupusas are a food that is native to El Salvador & is a super thick corn tortillas/flatbread-like that are stuffed with all kinds of things :) The two that I have found most typical at Salvadoran joints (but La Fe does them the best!) are Pupusa Revuelta and Pupusa Loroco. Both come stuffeddd with cheese and are very rich. The revuelta is for the meat eater in you as it is packed with shredded pork and the loroco is for the veggie lover in you as loroco is a type of plant thats similar to squash blossoms. They come with a side of curtido (Cabbage Slaw) that is acidic, tangy, spicy and herbaceous as it pairs perfectly with the rich & fatty pupusas. I've also tried the chicken tamales and chorizo tacos and they were very delicious as well! One of the most underrated things about restaurants is artwork & La Fe has some of the most beautiful paintings I've ever seen! I always sit in front of the El Salvador map that divides the countries into different regions, daydreaming about one day going there :) They have a very extensive menu and I am looking forward to trying their various breakfast plates, as well as the Pescado Frito. 5 stars all around for this amazing place!!

Someone else mentioned this, but I’ll also point it out…this is Salvadoran food, not Mexican. I’ve had their papusas, tamales, tacos, sopa, and fried whole fish. It’s always great!
